New mother's who have children where family medical histories include allergies should breastfeed exclusively for six months. They should avoid giving the child milk and dairy until they're a year old and any solid foods until the child is six months old. Once you start solid foods, introduce iron fortified rice cereal first. Wait to introduce eggs to your child until they're at least two. Also, avoid tree nuts and peanuts while breastfeeding. Don't give these to children until they're at least three. Follow the same rule for fish. If you can't breastfeed, use a hypoallergenic formula.

Once the allergies prevail, avoid, avoid and avoid some more. The more you introduce the allergic substance into your system, the more violet you reaction becomes. Watch out for hidden ingredients that come from beef and always check the ingredients when eating at a restaurant. Occasionally, particularly in children, you can outgrow an allergy if you avoid the toxin long enough. Discuss this with your doctor
